Pinyon Grove Specialized Support for College Students
A better path forward when college gets complicated.
Personalized support for college students who are overwhelmed, falling behind, facing academic challenges, or having difficulty navigating college on their own.

College can get off track faster than anyone expects.
A difficult semester, missed assignments, declining grades, academic warning, or simply feeling overwhelmed can leave students unsure of what to do next.
Pinyon Grove helps students understand what’s getting in the way, build a realistic plan, and start moving forward again.
How we help - Moving forward starts with understanding what’s getting in the way.
College challenges rarely come down to one thing. Pinyon Grove works one-on-one with students to understand what’s happening, identify what needs attention, and create a practical path forward.Together, we focus on the areas that matter most—academics, organization, communication, decision-making, motivation, and navigating the expectations of college. The goal isn’t simply to get through the next assignment or semester. It’s to help students develop the skills, strategies, and confidence to manage college more successfully on their own.

What Working Together Looks LikeEight weeks of focused, one-on-one support.
We start by getting a clear picture of where things stand—what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs attention most. From there, we build an individualized plan and meet regularly to work through challenges, set priorities, follow through on commitments, and adjust the plan as things change.Over eight weeks, students receive consistent support and accountability while developing practical strategies they can continue using long after our work together ends.Individual assessment • Personalized plan • One-on-one meetings • Ongoing accountability • Practical strategies

College is complicated. Helping students navigate it has been my work for more than 20 years.
I’ve spent my career working directly with students—as an academic advisor, graduate advisor, student success coach, teacher, and higher education professional.
Along the way, I’ve worked with students who were thriving and students who were struggling—students facing academic warning or dismissal, falling behind, questioning whether college was right for them, or simply trying to figure out how to manage everything being asked of them.
I created Pinyon Grove because students sometimes need something that can be difficult to find within a college: consistent, individualized support from someone who understands how higher education works and has the time to look at the whole picture.
My approach is practical, supportive, and straightforward. I help students understand where they are, decide where they want to go, and build the skills and strategies to move forward with greater independence and academic success.
